About Us
Custom Wines began as a story of friendship and shared creativity. It was 1987 when Mike and Amy, then in the seventh grade, first crossed paths. In a classroom assignment, they were asked to create business cards reflecting their future careers. To their surprise, both envisioned careers centered around art and creativity. This sparked a lifelong bond, as they realized their passions aligned. Little did they know, this moment would be the foundation of Custom Wines.
Specializing in Their Craft
Fast forward to 2022, and Mike and Amy had each grown into successful small business owners. Mike specialized in design, printing, and logistics, while Amy focused on corporate gifting and recognition. Their businesses naturally complemented each other, just as their dreams had back in their school days. For over 20 years, they each built careers rooted in creativity and marketing, setting the stage for their future collaboration.
Integrity at the core
Two years ago, Amy faced the loss of a client to a large tech-based firm. Though she knew losing clients was part of business, the client's parting words stuck with her: "Don't take it so personally." When she shared this with Mike, his response reminded her of why they stand out. "That’s exactly why they should have stayed with us," he said. "We actually care." This deep sense of integrity and personal investment is at the core of what Mike and Amy do – it’s about more than just business; it’s about building genuine relationships.
As they often did, Mike and Amy began brainstorming over lunch, discussing how they could create something that brought people joy.
